A bronze sculpture artist lives on this island and has his own foundry. The gallery was closed, but we still peeked through the windows and went to the pub for beers.
Here are some of the sculptures around the bar.

The next day we started to leave and found the port engine did not start. Capt. Brian on HayFu II came to our rescue and with Bob determined that our port engine starting battery was too weak to start the engine. Brian lent us a battery off of one of their support boats to use until we got to Hope Town. Thanks Brian - you saved the day!
We arrived in Hope Town and finally caught up with Miss Bettye who had gone ahead of us to be sure to be in Hope Town for the wedding on Hayes and Chad. Hayes was the daughter of Francie and Bob on Barefootin.
The next day, Bob was able to find a battery on the island and he and Dennis on Miss Bettye took the ferry over to Marsh Harbor to return the loaned battery to Hayfu II.
The weather picked up while we were there and we were happy that we were in a protected harbor tied up to the dock during the high wind period.
Bettye and I took a dinghy over from the docks to the island and walked around the island. Unfortunately, that day was overcast, but the little colored houses and beautiful flowers made up for dreary sky.
Interestingly, we never saw a fire truck in any of the out islands of the Exumas or Long Island. We found this on several of the islands surrounding the Sea of Abaco and in Marsh Harbor however.

Flowers were everywhere on this island!
Interesting signpost on the island.
Instead of a bird house, this person created a "lizard lodge!" These islands have lizards that are about 10 inches length.
Hope Town has one of the few lighthouses in the Bahamas. This lighthouse has a kerosene light that is lit every evening by a native Bahamian. His father and grandfather were also lighthouse keepers for this light. We were offered a tour, but declined because rain was forecast and we were playing a game of Texas Hold'em on the boat with Dennis and Bettye.
