We had arrived ahead of the boats coming from George Town as part of a race to Long Island and were asked to be one of the two boats marking the finish line. The other boat, Southern Estate, arrived ahead of the race boats. Dennis and Bettye on Miss Bettye came on our boat and helped watch for the boats and do some timing with Bob. I took photos of the boats as they crossed the finish line. Both sailing catamarans and mono-hull boats participated in the rally.
Here are some of the photos from the rally.
This is Earendille.
This is Moxie.
Not a photo finish, but close!

This is Exuberant. We came up with a special award for them for coming closest to the committee boat - The Grey Poupon Award.
Camelot
Wind Dancer - we weren't sure who was driving the boat, (as it looked like the dog was!).
Following the race, Tryphena who owns the Thompson Bay Club at one end of the anchorage put on a Bahamian meal for all the cruisers.
Tables all set up for the cruisers get-together at the Thompson Bay Club.
Tryphena's display of some of her shell work.
Here is the Buffet Table all set up for dinner. Tryphena had worked all night getting ready for the luncheon.

The Awards Dinner was held at the Long Island Breeze the next evening. Jackie and Mike who own the Breeze did a super job of setting this up for the cruisers.
Jackie setting up the buffet table. We had chicken and grouper for dinner.
Ron off Sea Dancer was the Disc Jockey and organizer of the rally.
Bob and I receiving our "first" burgee ever for serving as one of the Committee boats. They also gave us the hat I am wearing (I desperately need a hair cut!)
Bob presenting the "Grey Poupon Award" to Prudence and Burt on Exuberant.
Jackie dancing on a stool and taking photos of the dancers.
Jackie dancing to "Put Your Hat On."
We had so much fun being the Committee Boat we are thinking will volunteer again next year!
