We have been enjoying the George Town area for a little over a week now. We have had Dee and Ed of Sea Fox X over for Valentine's dinner, and had dinner on their boat as well. It is always interesting to watch Ed and Bob whip up wonderful meals!
Bob decided to "dress up" for our Valentine's dinner!

Ed's special pear dessert made with Nassau Royale, Orange Juice and shaved dark chocolate - Yum!

We were anchored in Kidd Cove by the Exuma Docking Services where a beautiful new catamaran was docked. The boats name is Hayfu and were were given a tour by the Captain of this 82 foot boat - she was a real beauty.

One day we went to check out a cottage for rent on Stocking Island. From the top of the island you can see both the sound side and Elizabeth Harbor. Stocking Island is a barrier island protecting Elizabeth Harbor formed by Great Exuma and Stocking Island. Here are some beautiful views.

After looking over the cottages and the views, we went to have a Kalik (Bahamian Beer) at Chat n'Chill on Stocking Island. Someone with a sense of humor put up this "snow emergency" sign.

Elizabeth Harbor is a gathering place for cruisers to spend the winter. Many people come to George Town and do not leave the area. There are certainly lots of activities and a party breaks out here for any excuse! This year, there are about 250 boats here down from about 300 last year and 350 the year before. I hope this trend does not continue. Some of the activities include volleyball, Texas Hold'm games, Trivial Pursuit tournaments, tennis, knot tying, weather seminars, watercolor classes, and yoga on the beach. There is also a cruiser's regatta.

I heard these two little guys guarding their owners boat as we passed by.

Our next stop is Long Island.
