Bul Reg came in second in the C Class race and ended up second overall.
This is a boat named after Anna Nicole Smith from Freeport - painted bright pink!
Following the races, there was a parade that included the local George Town High School Band and a smaller group of the Nassau Police Band. The "parade" route was about a block stretch of George Town. The bands marched a block and turned around and came back, not the kind of parade I'm used to, but great just the same. I think everyone on Exuma was there, plus all the people who came from other islands.
People even climbed on top of buildings to get a better view of the parade
Here was a first. Some of the cruisers are "Sweet Potato Queens" who dressed for the final day in pink. Some Bahamian women asked to have their photo taken with the cruisers. Here is the photo.
Here are a couple of videos of the two bands. The videos have sound, so turn it down if at work.
We are moving the boat tomorrow and heading north, so I'm not sure when I will be able to post next. I do have a group of photos taken by friends on other boats that I want to post of the Regatta here in George Town - so keep a lookout for that.
